NASA: Journey Into Outer Space (Ages 7-12)
From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends campers on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!
Rockin’ Rockets (Ages 7-12)
Kids have a “Rockin” good time at this rocket camp as they learn all about the purpose and function of rockets. How are they built? What is the function of each part? Throughout the week, campers experiment with different kinds of propulsion systems and “launch” their knowledge of flight as they blast-off, track, and recover different kinds of rockets.
Junior Doctors (Ages 7-12)
In this week-long camp, children will have fun learning about the coolest scientific specimen they already own- the human body. Kids will explore the science behind cells, organs, muscles and bones through fun, hands-on activities. From viewing the tiny cellular machines that keep our bodies working using microslide viewers to creating and experimenting with model cells & organs, Mad Mucus, and their very own stethoscope!
Spy Academy (Ages 7-12)
Look out 007-the Mad Science Spy Academy is here! From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets like spy glasses! Campers then step into the shoes of a detective during a hands-on look at a “crime scene” as they learn how forensic science is involved in evidence gathering and analysis. After the end of each day, our Junior Super Sleuths receive a special take-home designed by Q himself…providing they can prove their Top-Secret Status!
Red Hot Robots (Ages 8-12)
Join us for a week of fun in our Mad Science Robot World! Campers learn about the uses of robots in our world and spend time playing with super-cool mad robots that might just have a mind of their own. As kids discover the science of circuitry, logic, and programming, they then use their skills to build their very own working robot to take home to “live” with them!
Crazy Chemworks (Ages 7-12)
Come and discover what it’s like to be a real scientist in our Mad Science Lab! Each day campers experiment with different chemicals and tools to see what kind of interesting and crazy reactions they can create! Kids explore acids and bases, reveal the secret recipe of slime, examine crystallization, probe through shifting states of matter, and much, much more!
Brixology Camp(Ages 7-12)
Brixology Camp sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Kids learn about different types of engineering and then team up to construct different engineering-themed projects using LEGO® bricks. They learn about aerospace engineering while assembling a space station. They explore mechanical engineering as they build boats and vehicles. That's not all: from carnival rides to drawing machines, mechanical animals to truss bridges, your future engineers will build upon their creativity to solve real-world design challenges, while developing their problem-solving and team-building skills. Let the tinkering begin!
Radical Reactions & Detective Science (Ages 7-12)
In this week-long program, campers will have tons of fun mixing up potions and experimenting with all kinds of chemical reactions! Our young chemists will grow crystals, create sidewalk chalk, and even make chromatography T-Shirts to take home. Students will also become science sleuths as they investigate how chemistry provides evidence at the scene of a crime. During this hands-on detective work, children will gather and test "crime scene" clues, make and analyze their own fingerprints, decipher codes and encrypt messages.
Mad Machines & Junior Engineers (Ages 7-12)
Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of camp includes lots of both! The junior Mad Science engineers will design and build bridges and “skyscrapers” using only simple tools plus their imaginations. Kids will even construct a geodesic dome big enough for all the campers to sit inside! Then, the machine madness starts. Kids will discover how many different machines, simple & complex, we use in our daily lives. Campers will have fun building their own catapults to take home and will work with simple machines such as pulleys, wedges, screws & levers. After the simple machines are created, we use them to make more complex ones with our soccer-playing, line-tracking, sound activated Mad Science robots!
My First Lab (Ages 4-6)
This camp is a great introduction to science for your PreK-aged child. Young campers explore the states of matter, uncover the secrets that makes chemical reactions with household acids and bases, build molecules, learn the science behind magic, become paleontologists by searching for fossils, create their very own silly putty, and finally, take an exciting mission to explore the planets, moons and stars! Every day our budding junior Mad Scientists will make and take home a special age-appropriate science projects.
In the Garden (Ages 4-6)
This camp offers preschool aged children an exciting introduction to environmental science. Each session is devoted to different aspects of the garden, allowing children to explore exciting topics like seeds, weather, and even bugs! A mural will grow throughout the week as children illustrate their latest discoveries.
